Saturday, October 13th-Family Speaker Series ----Topic "Healing" --"Sharing the Hope: Sharing the Help" This is for anyone who is currently going through cancer, is a cancer survivor, or for friends and family members looking for hope or help. Comfort Works meets Wednesday, October 3rd at 4 pm, work session to prepare fleece for baby blankets. October 17th work session to measure and prepare the fleece. Nov. 7th whole group meeting. All meetings are at 4 pm.

Comfort for Those Who Mourn: Meets every Wednesday for 6 weeks starting October 17th from 4:30 to 6 pm. Everyone is invited to stay for Eucharist at 6 pm and potluck dinner to follow. No cost, but please register by calling the church at 518-664-4834.
This is a support group for those who are mourning the loss of a loved one. You can email your registration: firstname.lastname@example.org. This is open to the public and everyone is welcome.
Craft Fair, Basket Raffle, Bake Sale, -Saturday, October 20th, 9 am to 3 pm see flyer below. Sign up to help on the sheets at the Narthex table. Last year we had over 300 visitors! Get a free raffle ticket for one of the beautiful baskets just for entering. Parking is free. Free admission. Bring some items for the food pantry and get an extra free raffle ticket. (Only one extra per person.) This event is open to the public.
Confirmation, Reaffirmation, and Reception, Wednesday, October 24th, 6pm.
Classes started on Sunday, September 16th from 11-12 after the 10 am service and go for 4 weeks. Bishop Love will be here on October 24th for the ceremony. All parishioners are welcome to attend. After the service on October 23th, there will be a reception with food. Contact Father Dave or Deacon Lynne for further information.
Friday, October 26th at the Times Union Center in downtown Albany, 9 am to 2:45 pm. Beth Moore is an inspirational Bible speaker. Also, Saturday, October 27th. Deacon Lynne is organizing this event, so please contact her for tickets. Ticket will be ordered this week September 30th through October 5th, so please let Deacon Lynne know if you can go.
On Saturday, October 13th, St. Luke’s on the Hill in Mechanicville will be hosting an evening to share the hope of recovery from cancer and the help and resources available to those going through it. There will be a Healing Service at 4 pm, with prayer teams available afterward, a potluck dinner at 5 pm, and speakers at 6 pm. Our two speakers, Lisa Morahan of Floyd’s Warriors and Karen Haag of Brave Hearts, will share their journeys from cancer to recovery, how their organizations grew, and how they help others. We invite anyone whose life is or has been impacted by cancer, whether it be yourself or a loved one. Please come together to share and encourage. We look forward to a very powerful evening!
